Travel ‘25
In 2025 I left on April 2nd with intentions to explore Europe and Asia, not knowing when I would return home. I started in the UK to visit some friends, before spending two months solo in Thailand. I went back to the UK then traveled throughout Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Hungary, and Slovenia. I returned to the Netherlands and eventually to the United Kingdom again on September __, where I flew out of Gatwick into Missouri briefly to see my sister, and then returned home on this date.

My decision to leave was based on the eye opening experiences from previous travels, and wanting to dive fully in. On this trip, I was focused on spiritual development as well as mind and body. I learned how to let go of what I never knew was withholding me and therefore allowed joy and peace into my life.
United Kingdom
After a few flights, plane delays, rerouting, and a couple train rides later, I was finally settled in a friend’s home in England. I would visit there briefly before booking it to Wales to visit a friend I had met traveling the year prior. We were to have four days together.
But we had no idea how much adventure — and distance— could be packed into those four days.

Brecon Beacons and Beyond
On the account of April 8th to 11th 2025, I remember as the adventure of Whatever Comes, We’ll Figure. It was having one plan but being open to another. It was walking slow and then running like hell. It was relying on others as we moved across the country in ways that quickly descended into more and more hitchhiking.
It all started with having too much luggage in the little town of Llandovery, Wales.
____
We were hiking into the Brecon Beacons of South Wales, where we planned to pitch our tent at the Usk Reservoir at sundown.
But things didn’t go to plan. We did not hike fast enough, nor diligent enough, to get to the reservoir at sundown. Instead, we wandered slowly, we stopped to observe sheep, to smell flowers. A couple hours in, we took a short break on a grassy peak overlooking rolling hills of farmland, forest, and the setting sun.
I thought about how I rush so many things in my life, for success or excitement, and I decided to let that go.
Thailand
I landed in Bangkok on April 15th, the last day of Songkran, unknowing of the celebration going on. I walked to my hostel on Khao San Road and was met with the uplifting Thai celebration of water guns cleansing past sins and limestone clay painted on my face.
I also came without a camera, leaving mine behind in the UK for the search of a more lightweight and travel-friendly one. This is where I picked up my Fujifilm x-t30, where I documented the rest of my trip on.
I spent the next two months in Thailand, exploring the rural northeast of Nong Khai then booking it south to Krabi and the eastern islands.
Nong Khai
I began my workaway in the Northeast, a town placed across the Mekong River from Lao’s Capital, Vientiane. I took the night train over and arrived the morning of ___. It was rural Thailand countryside, with an emphasis on hard work and heat, strays and mosquitos, and the kindness of strangers.
South Thailand
After three weeks of traveling the country, I finally decided to Google a photo of South Thailand. Within days, I was on a flight to Krabi.
Much of South Thailand has been transformed to accommodate the mass influx of tourism over the decades. It is renowned for it’s stunning beaches and islands, marine life, and geological wonders.
I arrived again with the only plan to figure it out as I went. I spent one week in Krabi, then took off to Koh Phangan, then to the tiny island of Ko Tao for my remaining three weeks.
This is also where I began my series on photographing construction workers.
Back to United Kingdom
I returned to Lampeter, Wales, to stay at my friend’s mum’s cottage for a couple weeks to reground after the highs of Thailand. I spend most of my time meditating, walking on the nature paths, and hanging out with sheep. I found peace again and was refueled to continue my travels into Europe.
Before heading into mainland Europe, I took a road trip with some friends and camped out at the Dartmoor National Forest in the western peninsula of England, during the Summer Solstice.
