Working / Volunteer Experience
Working and volunteering are both highly valuable to me and contribute to character and inspirations. In the film and documentary industry, you are exposed to the dynamics of a fast moving set, always with problems to figure out. Your task is to bring stories — fictional or not— to life, therefore it is both technical and creative.
Volunteering finds me in unexpected places doing unexpected tasks, usually living off the land by farming, gardening, or working in various establishments. Like the time I spent three weeks working in an ashram in rural Denmark. It provides a life experience that fuels my creativity in writing and documentary.
Film Industry / Documentary
Professionally, I’ve worked in America’s film industry for five years, primarily in the camera department. I also have experience in documentary creative development and interviewing, which is where my key focus lies.
Volunteer & Work Trade
I’ve volunteered and lived in work-trade housing across America, Europe, and Asia— for the entirety of 2025. I do this as a means to travel lightly and to understand cultures outside my own. Through volunteering, I’ve picked up peculiar skills like building bamboo fencing in Thailand to making the perfect Italian spaghetti and pasta in Europe.
Interested in people stories?
I run a new blog where I take audio-recorded interviews and photographs from around the world, and write them into stories to share.
